Introduction to the songs:
Track 1: Symbiotic Planet Composer: Wang Fenan (This track is specially made for Jianli Percussion Ensemble)
The creation of "Symbiotic Planet" was based on the four elements of wind, fire, water and earth, and combined the concepts of cosmic parallelism and future cities. The instruments used by the four performers also correspond to these four elements respectively. For example, bicycle wheels are related to "wind", wooden guitars and other wooden instruments represent "earth" respectively, and metal instruments represent "fire" - the melting of metal. "Water" is to play some instruments in water; each performer uses instruments made of certain materials to play with different frequencies, and interacts with each other to jointly interpret the concept of "cosmic parallelism".
"Symbiotic Planet" is a percussion quartet work. As the world premiere piece of Jianli Percussion Ensemble, I believe this work will flash across the night in Spain like a meteor.

"yeh gangga" is a small village on the southwest coast of Bali, Indonesia. In the 1990s, the composer had been to Bali several times, and the Indian Ocean coast was still very desolate at that time. The waves, pleasant scenery and gamelan music of Bali brought the composer a lot of musical inspiration, and he incorporated these inspirations into this Marimba quartet.
The first two movements are influenced by the Baroque toccata and the melody of the hymn. In the second movement, the tempo is increased and decreased by 1/4 of a beat, and the rhythm gradually strengthens and weakens, and then faster beats are superimposed (from 4 beats to 3 beats), as if the rise and fall of the tide. Therefore, the title of this movement is "Rhythmic Hymn". It begins with a melodious bird song melody, and then the rhythm gradually becomes stronger. There is no interval in the middle, and this strong and wonderful music continues until the end of the piece. The notation of these wonderful melodies adopts the Indonesian seven-tone scale mode, which changes with the reminiscence of the toccata and the beautiful excerpts of the hymn.
"yeh gangga" is a Marimba quartet piece composed by the international composer master Rüdiger Pawassar. He dedicated this "aesthetic" work to Jianli Percussion Ensemble, and this piece will also take the stage in the form of a world premiere.
The piece "Four Marimbas" explores the combination of sound, rhythm and tone. In the three movements, the narrative part is slightly similar to a Baroque-style large concerto, with alternating fast-slow-fast tempos. The first movement constantly transitions between a cheerful theme inspired by Middle Eastern musical styles and modes and atmospheric interludes using different modes from around the world. The second movement uses a cantata, exploring the expression of different characteristics of Marimba. Some parts use a "chanting" melody, while others use the unique interlocking tremolo characteristics of Marimba to provide chord accompaniment for the choral style. In the last part, "Presto" returns to the main scale and keyboard used in the first movement, but the main theme is still the original chords and rhythms, and the interpolated melody and rhythm at the transition are more beautiful. The strong rhythmic rhythm is uplifting and full of energy, and the melody gradually expands from a single chord to every octave of the Marimba keyboard, and finally ends with a mesmerizing melody.
"Four Marimbas" was written by the internationally famous composer Avner Dorman for the orchestra. The pieces are full of passion and delicacy. This piece is also the world premiere. You will enjoy it and feel the different charm of Marimba.
Track 4: Opera Composer: Guo Wenjing First Movement & Sixth Movement
"Opera" is an "chamber music" made for the voices of 3 pairs of gongs and performers. The composer made such a choice because he "began to get tired of works full of percussion instruments on the stage and was determined to make 100 effects with one (or one kind) of instrument." This is a difficult problem that Guo Wenjing, who is good at dramatic, modeling and multi-line audio, set for himself - after all, there are only three pairs of gongs with different pitch left. Fortunately, Guo Wenjing gave full play to his keen sense of subtle changes in tone color and carefully designed more than 35 playing methods and 6 vocalization methods, so that the "pigments" of the work were relatively fully guaranteed.
Track 5: Gyro Composer: Tomer Yariv
The title Gyro is an abbreviation of Gyroscope, which is a navigation device. In order for its axis to rotate freely in different directions while maintaining its directional stability, it is specially installed on a base.
Many elements of martial arts are built on the principle of a gyroscope, for example, warriors must have the flexibility and stability of a gyroscope to ensure that they can move without being limited by their bodies.
Gyro is based on the same idea, the purpose is to combine the physical characteristics of the gyroscope with the physiological functions of martial arts. Therefore, this piece requires the performer to have both dynamic stability, like a stable axis, and the upper body can move freely. Through this continuous consciousness, the two are combined to complete the performance of the work together.
Track 6: Complainte Composer: Wend Qing
"The Sad Song" is characterized by the traditional Beijing Opera rhyme and the reversal of roles, that is, female characters in Beijing Opera are played by men. The arias and lyrical tunes in the repertoire imitate the voices of women, and the singing voice is raised to the octave scale, which is more shocking. Let's listen to the Chinese version of the requiem together:

I use unusual percussion instruments to play, such as cookie boxes, plastic fuel tanks, Japanese bowls, metal buckets, plates for cakes, fish tanks, gasoline barrels, glass bottles, liquor bottles, electric heaters, metal chains, deep frying pans, lids, etc. Although these things are part of our daily lives, it is rare to hear them together in a concert hall. Some instruments and tones also have some symbolic meanings. Although their pitch is not fixed, the arrangement of their rhythm is especially important. An ancient Chinese man helped us solve this problem: Luo Shu's magical nine-square grid uses a diagram mode of 9 squares to make the sum of the numbers from 1 to 9 equal to 15, whether they are added horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
