The Wangchao series is characterized by the CST (Chest cavity specific technology) process innovated by SAKAE. This technology is another innovation in the 90-year production process of SAKAE, and the result of decades of close cooperation with world-class drummers. This instrument innovatively focuses on each drum (or "chest cavity") and its specific processing requirements to make the corresponding size of the chest cavity produce the most satisfactory sound. Through the application of CST technology, SAKAE's craftsmen have basically pre-balanced the sound of each drum to make each drum produce its most perfect sound.
The outer side of the drum cavity of the Wangchao series is made of two layers of African redwood, and the inner side is made of North American maple wood. The edge of the drum cavity where the drum skin comes into contact with the drum cavity is made of African redwood with a harder texture, so that the sound of the drum is more full and rich.
The consistency of the tonal and resonance levels of solid wood allows craftsmen to adjust the bass, sustain, and projection of the drum according to its size. The most suitable number of wood layers and material for the edge of the drum cavity are selected according to the size of the drum. For example, larger drums such as bass drums use 10 layers of wood and have a smoother drum cavity edge, while smaller suspended snare drums use 4-6 layers of wood and have a sharper drum cavity edge. All these factors ensure the overall acoustic effect of a set of jazz drums. SAKAE will refine the production process to ensure that each drum can achieve the best sound effect, which is unprecedented in the history of jazz drum production. This series of jazz drums is unparalleled in terms of expressiveness, tuning range, live effect, and tonal purity.
