Hefei Grand Theater

Hefei Grand Theater, also known as Swan Lake Grand Theater, is located on the west side of the Science and Technology Green Axis of Hefei Municipal Affairs and Culture New District, west to Huaining Road, north to Dongliu Road, and south to Swan Lake. The construction area is 60,000 square meters, mainly consisting of opera hall, concert hall, multi-functional hall and other parts. The streamlined roof of the grand theater is like a "wave", which is very coordinated with the geographical environment by the Swan Lake.

Jianli Percussion Ensemble

Whether it is passionate modern music or deeply emotional classical music, every member of Jianli Percussion Ensemble can perfectly cooperate, making every work enchanting and lingering in the ears. Jianli Percussion Ensemble was founded in 2000 and consists of excellent contemporary young percussionists from China. They all come from renowned professional art groups and higher education institutions in China and even the world. They are percussion professors from music colleges and talented students. Eighteen years ago, they came together with their passion and pursuit of percussion art. They are passionate and flamboyant, with strong professional abilities and a wide repertoire of performances. The ensemble's performance style is innovative, and the repertoire is appreciated by both the elite and the general public. With the purpose of promoting traditional Chinese music culture and systematically introducing Western percussion, they have performed and adapted many percussion pieces, and have been highly recognized and praised by audiences and peers at home and abroad. They are known as a unique professional percussion ensemble.

Personnel introduction

Jianli Percussion Ensemble Team leader - Zhao Jianping

Zhao Jianping, percussion musician, general manager of Beijing Jianli Huihuang Trading Co., Ltd., general manager of Jianli Percussion Art Center, and captain of Jianli Percussion Ensemble troupe.

Born in a musical family, he has been learning music with his father, Mr. Zhao Ji, a famous percussion expert and music educator in China, since he was a child.

Graduated from Central Conservatory of Music in 1995.

At the end of the 1990s, he founded China's first professional percussion orchestra - Jianli Percussion Ensemble and served as the leader of the orchestra.

At the same time, he founded China's first art center with the theme of percussion music - Jianli Percussion Art Center and served as the general manager.

He founded Beijing Jianli Huihuang Trading Co., Ltd. in 2000 and served as the general manager.

In 2009, he created the largest and most professional art festival in the percussion industry - China International Percussion Competition and the Percussion Arts Festival. By 2018, it continued to be held once a year, and continued to work hard for the progress and development of the percussion industry.

In 2017, he took the percussion art festival to the international stage and successfully held the Jianli Percussion international study tour, which has been successfully held for two consecutive years by 2018.

Jianli Percussion Ensemble Chief - Zhang Jingli

Central Conservatory of Music Associate Professor of Percussion. Graduated from Central Conservatory of Music, then studied abroad in Germany, obtaining a master's and a doctoral degree respectively. He has worked at China National Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently a master's advisor at the China Conservatory of Music, chief conductor of Jianli Percussion Ensemble, music director of China International Percussion Competition, judge of the Jeju Percussion Competition in South Korea, judge of the Hong Kong International Percussion Competition, and judge of the PAS International Percussion Competition in Italy.

Her performances have been held in more than 30 countries and regions around the world, and she has collaborated with many orchestras, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra of Canada and the Baden-Baden Symphony Orchestra of Germany. She has also performed with the Nip-ponic Symphony Orchestra of Japan, China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the China National Opera House Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and others. She has not only promoted the development of percussion music in China, but has also contributed to enhancing the influence of Chinese percussion music on the international stage.

Wang Xu

He studied percussion at Central Conservatory of Music and graduated from the Art Academy of the People's Liberation Army. He is proficient in Chinese opera percussion, ethnic percussion and classical percussion, and belongs to the Jianli Percussion Ensemble "diverse" talents. His performances have been held throughout Europe and Asia, including performances in the Golden Hall in Vienna and collaborations with the Dutch New Music Chamber Orchestra. He speaks softly but with wisdom and power, and he smiles calmly but has a vast and boundless heart.

Li Jingjing

A Chinese young percussionist, she graduated from Central Conservatory of Music and is currently employed by China National Symphony Orchestra. She later obtained a master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her performances have been held in many countries and cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Her intelligent artistic talent, diverse playing style, passionate and highly infectious stage performance make her a versatile performer who combines both performance and playing.

Feng Jun

A famous Chinese drummer and percussionist of the People's Liberation Army Military Band, with the rank of major general. He is one of the top drummers with the most solid foundation, comprehensive skills and systematic theory in China. In the 1980s, he frequently performed in bands such as Reincarnation and Black Panther. He is now the executive director of the Chinese Percussion Association, vice president and judge of the Drummers' Union.

Li Yunlei

He studied percussion under the guidance of Professor Wang Yidong, a percussion professor at the China Conservatory of Music, Professor Jiao Shanshan, a percussion professor at the Affiliated Middle School of the China Conservatory of Music, and Professor Li Zhengui, a percussion professor at Central Conservatory of Music. He also studied percussion under the guidance of Professor Fang Guokai, a former percussionist and percussion educator of China National Symphony Orchestra.

He previously served as a percussionist with the Beijing Wind Symphony Orchestra. At Sanbao Music Studio, he arranged and performed the percussion parts for the musicals Wang Er’s Long March and Xiao Qian, touring with the productions for more than one hundred performances.

He is currently a special invited percussionist for Beijing Jianli Percussion Ensemble, China Philharmonic Orchestra, National Centre for the Performing Arts symphony orchestras, the Central Ballet Company and other institutions.

Yelbuluula Sultan

He is proficient in playing Middle Eastern drums and Latin percussion instruments, and is good at live improvisation. He has participated in many music festival performances such as "MIDI Music Festival", "Strawberry Music Festival", "Dutch LOWLANDS Youth Music Festival", "LOTUS World Music and Art Festival", "Chicago World Music Festival" and others. He has also collaborated with musicians such as Cui Jian, Zhang Jie, Kong Hongwei, Zhang Zhi, Li Jie, Tan Weiwei, Sun Tribe, Hangge Band and others for concerts and album recordings. He has been invited to participate in many cultural exchanges and performances between China and abroad. He also has rich experience in stage performance, tuning and controlling the atmosphere of live music.

Li Yutong

In 2009, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School. During this period, he won the prize money of the Shanghai Youth Percussion Competition Ensemble Group and the third prize of the individual all-round competition. In 2015, he was admitted to the percussion major of the orchestral department of Central Conservatory of Music with excellent results.

Ren Jingxue

In 2009, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated primary school to study Western percussion. He studied under Professor Zhao Ji, a famous percussion performer and educator in China. In 2011, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated middle school with the first place in his major. In 2012, he studied under percussion performer and Central Conservatory of Music Zhang Jingli associate professor until now. In 2012, he won the first prize in the youth group of Marimba major in the fourth China International Percussion Competition and Jianli Percussion art festival, and then joined Jianli Percussion Ensemble. In 2015, he won the first prize in the youth group of Marimba major in the sixth China International Percussion Competition Marimba major, and performed on stage with Marimba master Bogdan Bacanu and received good reviews. In 2016, he was invited to the United States to participate in 'The Masterworks Festival'. In October of the same year, he won the first prize in Group C of the Hong Kong International Percussion Competition Snare Drum and the second prize in Group C of Marimba in the same year. In 2017, he completed his studies at the Central Conservatory of Music affiliated middle school with full marks in his major and was admitted to the orchestral department of Central Conservatory of Music with excellent results in the first place. In 2017, he won the first prize in the 15th Italian International Competition Marimba youth group. In 2018, he won the first prize in the fifth Australian Marimba open competition.

Zhao Yue

He began learning percussion at the age of 5. In 2006, he followed Mr. Liu Ying, the percussion chief of China Philharmonic Orchestra, and was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated primary and middle schools with the first place. In 2012, he followed Mr. Zhang Jingli, a deputy professor of Central Conservatory of Music, and joined the China Youth Symphony Orchestra. He participated in many alumni art festival concerts and cooperated with many musicians, including Lang Lang and Lv Sicheng. In 2016, he served as the percussion chief of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra and followed the orchestra on a European tour. In 2017, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music with excellent results. During his time in school, he cooperated with China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, and Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra many times. In 2015, he won the first place in the sixth China International Percussion Competition Snare Drum youth group and the third place in the Marimba group. He won the first place in the first Hong Kong International Percussion Competition Snare Drum. In 2016, he won the third place in the first IPEA Shanghai International Percussion Competition Snare Drum player group.

Tian Ye

He was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated primary school in 2008. In 2010, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music affiliated middle school. In 2016, he was admitted to the Western percussion major of the Central Conservatory of Music orchestra department with excellent results, studying under Associate Professor Zhang Jingli. During his time in school, he performed excellently and won scholarships many times. He participated in the China Youth Symphony Orchestra as the percussion chief and performed with the orchestra. In 2018, he participated in the China National Symphony Orchestra "Branca Poem" percussion performance at the Beijing Concert Hall, and won the second prize in the Marimba youth group at the "2015 Jianli Percussion Artist and the 6th China International Percussion Competition".

Wang Shubo

In 2017, he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music Orchestra Department of the Music School of the Macau Academy of Performing Arts, under the tutelage of the famous Chinese percussionist and Central Conservatory of Music Orchestra Department Associate Professor Zhang Jingli. In 2014, he participated in the 32nd Macau Youth Music Competition and won the first prize in the Intermediate Professional Group for percussion solo and the first prize in the Marimba group. In October of the same year, he participated in the 6th South China Region Orchestra • Percussion Solo • Ensemble Invitation Competition in China and won the second prize in the Professional High School Group for Snare Drum and the second prize in the Marimba group. In November, he participated in the International Percussion Youth Competition in Belgium and won the second prize in percussion. In 2016, he participated in the Tokyo International Percussion Competition in Japan and won the fifth place in the Junior Group for Marimba and the third place in the Snare Drum group.
