The Wangfu Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music is located near Fuxingmen in Beijing, inside the former Prince Chun’s Mansion of the Qing dynasty, birthplace of the Guangxu Emperor. Quiet and elegant in the heart of a busy city, it belongs to the Central Conservatory of Music, China’s leading music institution. It combines the dignity and splendour of classical Chinese architecture with a modern humanistic spirit, and has nurtured many celebrated musicians.
